. twenty~two weeks .

here i am! i tried getting a good belly shot... but for some reason i think i look bigger in real life!

. fireworks surprise .

ever since 'the fourth' the boys have been asking about fireworks. every time i tell them there are no more fireworks for a long time... they are all gone.
well, even mommies get surprises once in awhile, apparently.
last sunday ~a full week after the holiday~ we went to one of the parks near our place just before sunset. it was starting to get stormy as the sun went down and out of nowhere comes fireworks! one after another!
and of course, brigham had to inform me that 'see, mom. i was right!'
eventually, we got chased from the playground from the lightning storm and winds that picked up. it was really something to watch the firework display along with the lightning storm.

the flash of light under the clouds was a bolt of lightning...
beautiful sunset
surprise!
a complete show...
parley followed landon's instructions to the 'T'..
a little volley-foot ball. briggs wanted to set the football.
landon and cohen both let go of their kites... tangled them up with each other and the trees!
i convinced brigham to be my photographer... he's catching on!
parley loves the sandbox..
briggs loves showing his 'tricks'.. even on the slide.
boys will always be boys.. adorable.
after the storm chased us home, the boys read stories and watched the lightning out the window...

. frozen yogurt .

we stumbled across a delicious frozen yogurt shop called Peachwave in Edmond {about 20 miles north} while i went on a shopping spree to Pickles & Icecream. the boys loved it! not to mention, so did i!
it's a self-serve shop so i let the boys pick out their favorite sweet treats.

brigham chose: chocolate & strawberry yogurt . sprinkles . gummi bears & worms . chocolate chips . m&m's . carmel syrup
parley's consisted of: chocolate & vanilla yogurt . sprinkles . gummi bears & worms . m&m's
my delicacy: cheesecake yogurt . waffle cone . raspberry . a touch of chocolate~ peanut cups and snickers

so good! briggs kept licking his bowl, then dipping his fingers in the farthest corners and licking again to ensure he didn't forget a drop. parley didn't like me interrupting and every time i tried to take a picture he pushed away at the camera and scowled at me while saying, "no, mom."

we made it!

so, i'm finally getting around to updating the blog. can't believe how long since my last post.
we're staying at the The Villas in Moore, Oklahoma~ just outside OKC. we don't mind the apartment too much now that we traded out the sofa that smelled of sour milk. there is still a not so pleasant odor that i can't get rid of, but i am starting to think the humidity might be part to blame. On the bright side, there are a few interesting things i've found since we've been in OK..

. the weather is so bizarre .
. intriguing sunsets and skies .
. a million different religions! .
. the interstate/road systems seem a little... crazy .
. pretty good community services/activities .
hmm...
. very green! tons of trees {naturally green!}
. i have only found ONE legit grocery store {i don't include wal-mart neighborhood markets a legit grocer..}.

it's been quite interesting trying to get used to life here in OK. some days i could jump in the car and drive the 21 hour trip without a glance backwards... but then, i get on the phone, and someone usually cheers me up! {thanks!} i can then think about the few weeks remaining and the countdown doesn't seem so eternal.

. f~h~e on the rink .

So much fun! It has been years since I have been on the ice.
One year for Christmas, our parents got all of us our own ice skates. I found my set this winter and guess what! They still fit! It has been over ten years... crazy.
Here, the city has a public outside rink where you can rent skates if you need. They were out of Brigham and Parleys size so we put JoAnn's old skates on Briggs. That didn't last too long.
Mindie skated around with Parely and he fell asleep!
I need to try it again~ I could barely get around the ice...

These two deserve a mommy BRAG moment
{Be.Real.&.Genuine}
I must say I have two of the most adorable
little squirts around! Handful? of course! But
definitely my little buddies. Brigham & Parley
are becoming great play-mates . . . . . . . . . . . .
{despite the occasional pouncing and teasing
done by the eldest and most experienced}
Needless, Parley is learning quite well how
to handle his opponent.......................................
.{Brigham}.
. almost potty-trained
. can recognize different colors
. counts to {10}!!!
. love to read {Momma Do You Love Me?}
. says his prayers {... thankful for the beans...
and that Neche barks at you....}
. aDorEs his daddy
. insists on dressing himself {inside out undies?..
backwards shoes.... stellar combinations........}
.{Parley}.
. SO cuddly and lovable!
. adores his grandmother {can you say SPOIL?}
. eats! and eats! and eats! almost everything
{loves bananas, peaches, ......... Nutrimeal :) }
. tries to stand all by himself
. has been walking around furniture for awhile
. loves patty-cake, peek-a-boo, and KISSES
. has mastered ALL the "pouty little baby faces"
. . . . . .
I love my little guys! They are so much fun and I miss
them so much when I am off working. When I take a
moment to think back over the last few years, I can't
imagine how my life existed without either one of them.
I have been so blessed with their beautiful little selves-
and know that they are truly a gift............

delicious

Once in a while, I get a little creative {hmmm}. A couple
of weeks ago, we had Jared and JoAnn here with us for
breakfast. Usually, I pull out my yummy {and simple!}
Nutrimeal shake and that's that. However, we decided to
experiment this time. My first time making crepes and
oh they were so good! My favorite was the combination
of strawberries and banannas. Way good!
